Team Norway has participated in the three last Beirut marathons, organised by the Beirut Marathon Association. Last year, more than 200 participants donned the Team Norway-shirts, and team-member Eva Brandt finished third in the women’s 10 km. The marathon has been held in the Lebanese capital since 2003 and each year draws thousands of participants from around the world to the streets.
The Beirut Marathon Association has several events on their agenda for 2010 as well. including a half marathon in Baalbek August 8 and the international full marathon 7 November. They are also planning for a race in the South 23 May- probably a 10 km run. And expect to see Team Norway taking part in one or more of these events!
And remember: There is no better better way to start the day than by running for a good cause!
